June 10 10-10:45am Preschool Hour: Bring your little one out to E.B. Lyons Nature Center for a fun, educational program. Each session will feature a different theme and will focus on a variety of topics dealing with nature. Ages 2-4 with adult.
June 10 1-3pm Kayaking Want to learn to kayak? Come out to Catfish Creek and join a Naturalist on the water. Ages 12 & up, parent supervision required. *All kayaking programs are first come, first served, and will be instructional.
June 11 1-3pm Canoeing Join us for a free afternoon of relaxation and discovery on Catfish Creek for all ages. Meet at the Canoe Launch Parking Area. This program is first come, first served, will be instructional, and no reservations will be taken.
June 12 1:00-3:00pm Right in your backyard and along the paths you walk every day, there is food growing. Come and learn foraging basics with our knowledgeable forager and naturalist, Andy.
June 14: Acorn Storytime 10-11am Join us at E.B. Lyons Nature Center, as we enjoy a fun children’s story under the trees. After the story, there will be a short program to further explore what we have read about.
June 16: Frog Call 7-8:30pm When the sun sets, the chorus of frogs gets louder! Learn to identify what frogs you are hearing, by their call. Join us at the Horseshoe Bluff area in the park, and we will go to the nearby wetlands to see what types of frogs we can find.
June 20, 21, & 22 from 9am-noon each day Day Camp: Get up close and personal with nature and discover the inner workings of the world around us.
